WHAT IS AAC BLOCKS?
Aerated autoclaved concrete (AAC) blocks are a high quality building material that offers a unique combination of strength, low weight,thermal insulation,sound absorption, unsurpassed fire resistance and unprecedented build ability. AAC is a steam cured mix of sand or pulverized fuel ash (PFA), cement, lime and aeration agent .The high pressure steam - curing in autoclaves achieves a physically and chemically stable product with an average density being approx. One fifth of normal concrete and one fourth of clay brick. AAC comprises myriads of tiny non-connecting air bubbles which give AAC its incredibly diverse qualities and make it a terrific insulator.AAC is a natural and non toxic construction material, saves energy and is friendly to your environment.
AAC (Aerated Autoclaved Concrete) is a technology developed in the mid-1920s by the Swedes .The aerating is caused by a reaction of mix of various material mainly consisting of Silica (through fly –ash) limestone cement & other .AAC blocks consist of around 80% air, this aerated material is processed through autoclaving which entails high pressurized curing of aerated material formed in cellular shapes , which are known as AAC elements.

SAVE CARPET AREA:
Use of thinner AAC blocks (6" instead of 9" exterior walls ) because of its excellent water barrier & insulation properties leads to an increase in floor space area between 3-5 %

High pressure steam curing autoclaving process gives AAC Blocks unmatchable strength to weight ratio Higher then M150 concrete and far exceeds than Indian Building Code requirements.
Its structure does not allow for capillary action making it impervious to water. Its water barrier properties are further enhanced by adding silicon based additives Allows no water seepage:
Due to lowest “Water absorptive material”ratio only 20% in block compared to 65% in “Volume of block”.
Block compared to 65% in brick and absence of capillaries (so no capillary action ) , AAC block do not allow water seepage from exterior to interior of wall.
SAVES FERTILE LAND:
AAC Block uses fly ash wastage coming from thermal power & don’t require fertile clay , unlike red bricks manufacturing.

AAC block manufacturing is most energy efficient process compared to other walling material which again helps to reduce carbon emission.
SAVES FUEL FOR TRANSPORTATION:

Breakage of AAC blocks is negligible that is less than 5% which increase the utilization of the blocks.

For the curing process of AAC block walls there is no need to water the blocks , only mortar joints need to be cured with water, saving the water consumption
The manufacturing of AAC blocks does not get affected by seasons fluctuations due to which supply is available at all seasons so the AAC block buyer do not need to maintain large storage area for AAC blocks.
